We are looking for a talented IBM i System Administrator to manage and maintain our IBM iSeries environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in system administration, troubleshooting, and performance optimization. As an IBM i System Administrator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of our IBM i infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

Administer and maintain IBM iSeries servers and related components
Perform system installations, upgrades, and patches
Monitor system performance and take proactive measures to optimize performance
Troubleshoot and resolve system-related issues
Implement and maintain security protocols and procedures
Collaborate with other IT professionals to ensure seamless integration with other systems
Provide technical support and expertise to end-users and other IT teams
Document system configurations, procedures, and best practices

Requirements

Proven experience as an IBM i System Administrator
In-depth knowledge of IBM iSeries hardware, OS, and related technologies
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Experience with system installations, upgrades, and patches
Familiarity with security protocols and best practices
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Ability to work independently and in a collaborative environment
Relevant certifications (e.g., IBM Certified System Administrator) are a plus

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
5 years of experience as an IBM i System Administrator
