About this opportunity


As the Customer Education Center Specialist, you will be a key member of the team responsible for our state-of-the-art Customer Education Center located in downtown Toronto.

This is a highly visible position with both internal and external customers.

You will be responsible for the center on a daily operational basis for Align Education, and for all visitors, guests, trainings, and special events.

As a member of the Professional Marketing team, you will perform cross-functional event duties as needed.

This person must be customer-centric, a self-starter with proven ability to execute and work independently. This role reports to the Director of Professional Marketing.


In this role, you will

  • Inform the endtoend customer experience regarding the Align Customer Education Center, including, but not limited to, center calendar, scheduling and logistics, visitor access, meet and greet, tours and execution of Customer Education Center programs.
  • Act as expert in the capabilities the center offers and recommend ideas and options to interested stakeholders working cross functionally based on best practices.
  • Ensure a bestinclass experience is delivered for all center engagements for internal and external visitors.
  • Own and execute the process for setup and teardown for center events including staging, technology, room configuration, catering, etc.
  • Lead and manage special events as needed, including
    after normal business hours, and some weekends

  • Onsite management of all logistics for duration of assigned events.
  • Learn and maintain working knowledge of the technology of the center and create escalation pathways for troubleshooting to support the team and ensure quick resolution of any issues.
  • Liaise with local facilities team on any centerrelated issues.
  • Conduct postmeeting surveys, debriefs, and reports as needed.
  • Other Event projects and tasks as assigned.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required; communications, marketing, or hospitality focus preferred.
  • 4+ years of customerfacing work experience or event planning experience.
  • Experience interacting with and partnering at all levels within an organization.
  • Open, warm, and engaging individual with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent work ethic, integrity, and professionalism.
  • Knowledge or expertise in Asana Project Management is an asset.
  • Must be well organized and detail oriented, able to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Physical requirements include stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs / ladders and ability to lift / carry heavy loads of 50 lbs or more.
  • Able to maintain the confidentiality of all business matters.
  • Able to demonstrate proactive customer service.
  • Demonstrate strong technical acumen.
  • Experience in a fast paced and action
- oriented environment to accommodate for last minute changes and customer requests.

  • Legally entitled to work in Canada.

High degree of flexibility in working schedule - regular evening & weekend work is required as part of responsibilities.
