Job summary
The Manager is responsible for direct oversight of portfolio and ensuring safety and excellence in all aspects of patient care services within the Veterinary Medical Centre VMC to support the Western College of Veterinary Medicines WCVM mission of excellence in patient care student learning and discovery Reporting to the Director of Health Services and Business Operations this position is a member of the VMC Management team who is directly responsible for ensuring exceptional client experience in the VMC as well as managing operations and strategic direction to assigned areas
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in a Health Science Discipline is preferred Licensure as a healthcare professional is strongly preferred Certifications post graduate degrees leadership or healthcare administration would be an asset Clinical experience veterinary medical setting health care setting considered an asset Combinations experience education proven leadership will be considered Minimum five years proven successful experience leadership role preferably within veterinary health field Experience hospital clinic management considered an asset Must have working promoting diverse inclusive environment Demonstrated aptitude leadership ability lead engage manage support others Ability evaluate direct work others Knowledge University WCVM VMC policies procedures make sound decisions framework these policies Demonstrated superior interpersonal communication verbal written skills Possess display initiative tact diplomacy discretion confidentiality Comprehensive knowledge hospital environment Effective management organizational problem solving decision-making skills Highly effective interpersonal communication verbal written skills Ability work independently collaboratively team environment Demonstrated sound judgment confident decision-making Priority alignment goals strategic plan Proven proficient computer application skills Highly motivated demonstrating leadership flexible collaborative manner Demonstrated ability think act systematically strategically exercising diplomacy creativity resolving issues Demonstrated ability evidence-based decisions commitment quality
