About the role:


Do you share our purpose to reimagine medicine through gene therapies? We are looking for an innovative, experienced, and creative individual to join our team as a national Medical Science Liaison.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for shaping our #OneTeam strategy by engaging with medical experts from across Canada.

The role reports directly into the Novartis Canada Medical Lead for Gene Therapies & Rare Diseases and will work closely with the cross-functional team.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Using advanced communication skills, develop peertopeer scientific relationships with medical experts
  • Provide and discuss advancedlevel scientific information and data with health care professionals
  • Liaise and provide uptodate medical information and data to health care professionals and to internal crossfunctional colleagues
  • Liaise with Clinical Research teams at Novartis to facilitate the implementation of phase III-IV clinical programs and investigator initiated trials.
  • Engage in scientific discussions related to the Novartis pipeline with medical experts
  • Provide scientific support to medical experts upon their request

Role Requirements

Essential Requirements:

  • MD, PharmD, PhD or other life sciences degree with solid medical/technical background
  • Proven ability to develop and foster peertopeer relationships with medical experts
  • Working knowledge of the healthcare system and of research procedures and other ethical guidelines related to the pharmaceutical industry
  • Strong collaborative attitude and ability to manage complex projects in cross functional teams.
  • Ability to synthesize complex scientific information and analyze it within strategic and regulatory settings
  • Initiative, selfmotivation and superior organizational and time management skills

Desirable Requirements:

  • Experience in the Pharmaceutical industry
  • Bilingual: English and French an asset
