Job Description:


AECOM is in need of a
Project Controls
Construction Scheduler - TTC Secondment to work with our client TTC on some of their high-profile public Transit projects.


This position requires the successful hire to work on a Hybrid model (2 days from Downtown Toronto TTC office, 3 days' work from home).
The job incumbent will be offered a regular, full-time position with AECOM and work on secondment to TTC. After the secondment is compete, the employee will return to AECOM to be re-assigned to another project. The home office for the employee at that time can be either the AECOM Markham or Whitby office (with work from home options available also.)


Major Responsibilities:


  • As a Forensic Scheduler, you will use your expert knowledge to understand why delays occurred in construction projects. This is usually during execution of the construction activities or after the construction project is completed. You will look at the overall project and evaluate whether the delays could have been avoided
  • Review all documents, the directions of the field, contracts or agreements, construction drawings, terms, and requirements that could affect the expected delay.
  • Determine and define the condition that is encountered before the performing the time impact analysis.
  • Identify all related constructions that could be affected by the expected delay.
  • After performing the time impact analysis example, determine the starting and ending dates, duration, and the finishing date for all affected activities\
  • This position must exercise problem solving and analytical abilities in order to effectively manage and interpret scheduling and cost information from a variety of sources, and to help elevate the project group knowledge and awareness on best practices on project management information system usage.

Access to Direction/Technical Guidance


Works under the general direction of the Manager - Planning and Scheduling and the Project Controls Lead (in a matrix reporting structure).

Decisions are made in accordance with established TTC policies and procedures, and in keeping with the objectives. Keeps leadership apprised of status and approach on relevant and sensitive matters.

Qualifications:


Minimum Requirements:

Completion of a post-secondary college diploma or university degree in a related technical or business
