Technical Records Assistant - Vancouver, Canada - Pacific Coastal Airlines
Description
Pacific Coastal Airlines is looking for atemporary part time Technical Records Assistant.
This position is based out of a hangar located near the South Terminal building at the Vancouver International Airport in Richmond.
Reporting to the Director of Quality Assurance, Maintenance, the Technical Records Assistant works closely in conjunction with the Technical Records Administrator in ensuring all technical records are controlled, updated and maintained in accordance with the applicable Canadian Aviation Regulations and company Policy Manuals.
- _This is a 6-month contract position_
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist Technical Records Administrator in maintaining control of company aircraft maintenance documents.
- Assist with new projects within Technical Records Department
- Filing of any paper aircraft maintenance related documents, such as Journey Logbook documents signed maintenance release paperwork.
- Continually promoting the company's Safety Management System to all maintenance staff
- Promote a safety culture throughout the department by encouraging hazard identification and incident reporting as required by the Safety Management System
- Provide relief coverage for the Technical Records Administrator in his/her absence
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS_:
_**:
- Competent and proficient with computer programs such as Excel and Word
- Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skill
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with mínimal supervision
- Preference to those knowledgeable with aviation record keeping, as well as any with experience in maintenance tracking software
- Other duties as assigned
