Description
We are seeking an organized, reliable, detail and service-oriented warehouse supervisor to join our growing team.

In this position, you will plan, organize, supervise and participate in the operations and activities of the warehouse as well as train, assign, supervise and evaluate assigned staff to ensure that products are stored and shipped out in a accurate, efficient manner.


Main Duties and Responsibilities (This list is not exhaustive and employees are expected to carry out other duties that may reasonably be required)

  • Review and assess current warehouse processes; design and implement appropriate practices and procedures to optimise workflow and maximise potential revenue;
  • Coordinate and oversee all warehouse logistics;
  • Supervise and direct warehouse staff; ensure worker safety as a top priority;
  • Maintain inventory accuracy by tracking and accounting for all incoming and outgoing products;
  • Confirm proper and timely delivery of products;
  • Perform various inventory counts; order supplies and goods as needed;
  • Supervise all forklift operations; ensure preshift inspections are performed
  • Maintain warehouse and machinery, ensuring equipment is serviced when needed and a clean and tidy workspace is kept at all times;
  • Maintain shipping documentation, manifests, and receipts; enter relevant data in reports as needed;
  • Ensure that shipment materials match packing lists before dispatching orders;
  • Assist in the hiring and training process of new warehouse staff;
  • Ensure proper transport, packaging, and placement of products;
  • Motivate and lead warehouse staff to effectively carry out given tasks;
  • Abide by and enforce facility rules and state laws and regulations;
  • Improve warehouse work processes through strategic planning in order to create a more efficient fulfillment system;
  • Own workforce planning and budgeting to ensure that the warehouse organization is optimally staffed at all times.
  • Ensure adherence to all health and safety policies;
Assist Material & Production Planner to strengthen stock accuracy.


Scope / Limits of Authority

  • Shift work including nights.

Qualifications/ Experience

  • I
  • Experience in a Warehouse Supervisor role, or similar, within a fastpaced and dynamic business;
  • Excellent organization and efficient timemanagement skills;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills;
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure;

Required

  • Warehousing and stock control methods and procedures.
  • Methods of receiving, inspecting and issuing materials.
  • Operation of a forklift and other assigned vehicle and equipment.
  • Warehouse operations, procedures, equipment and terminology.
  • Warehouse Management System (WMS) experience
  • Space utilization and inventory techniques.
  • Proper methods of storing equipment, materials and supplies.
  • Health and safety regulations.
  • Recordkeeping techniques.
  • I
nventory methods and practices.

  • Principles and practices of training and providing work direction.
  • I
nterpersonal skills using tact, patience and courtesy.

  • Proficiency in computer systems, including Microsoft Suite and data entry systems;

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
$24.00-$26.40 per hour
