Description

The Laboratory Operations Associate is required to develop and maintain a broad knowledge of AGADA's laboratory needs, coordinate with staff, and provide support as needed.

Roles and Responsibilities

Laboratory Management_
Laboratory organization
Supply ordering
Inventory management
Equipment maintenance
Equipment ordering
Lab meeting administration
Lab/office maintenance (repairs, services)
Assist with new employee orientation
Support new system implementations
Shipping Management_
Management of outgoing and incoming shipments
Review of paperwork and completion of documentation related to shipments
Track shipments from shipping pickup location to destination and receipt confirmation
Provide any necessary communications, information, or documentation for shipments that need followup
Ensure compliance with import/export regulations and remain informed on changes to regulations
Create and update procedures at AGADA to comply with shipping requirements
Support and communicate with other AGADA staff members regarding shipment progress and requirements

Preferred Skills

Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Motivation to learn about industryspecific requirements and research
Demonstrated ability to be proactive, highly organized, and capable of multitasking, along with qualities to handle a fastpaced environment and ongoing change typical of the biotech industry
The ability to assess products and services that are aligned with the company needs and priorities
Great attention to detail, the ability to successfully troubleshoot issues, and provide excellent customer service to the rest of AGADA staff.
