Brandt is looking for a practical and business minded individual to fill a Legal Counsel position located in Brandt's Regina Head Office.
This position will report directly to Brandt's Chief Legal Officer.The Brandt Group of Companies is headquartered in Regina, Saskatchewan and is the world's largest privately-owned John Deere Construction & Forestry and Agricultural and Turf equipment dealer.
Brandt has nearly 150 full service dealership locations in Canada, the United States, Australia and New Zealand employing more than 6,500 employees.
In addition, Brandt's manufacturing business has locations in Saskatchewan and Illinois and manufactures and sells unique custom products to customers globally and serves the construction, forestry, agriculture, rail, mining, steel, and energy industries.

Brandt's Legal Team consists of the Chief Legal Officer who is supported by the Senior Legal Counsel dedicated to Corporate/Commercial work, the Legal Counsel dedicated to Dispute Resolution work and two Legal Assistants dedicated to organizing the Legal Department's activities.
With Brandt's continued growth throughout Canada, the United States and recent entry into Australia and New Zealand, you will be responsible for providing legal and business advice to members of Brandt's senior management team around the world.
o Commercial Legal Matters:
Assisting in mergers and acquisition activities by: (i) working with Brandt's Investments group in drafting all applicable legal documentation associated with a transaction; (Drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements with third parties related to Brandt's dealership and manufacturing businesses;
Supporting the acquisition and divestiture of real property throughout Canada, the United States, Australia and New Zealand including the negotiation of leases;
Supporting Brandt's procurement, engineering and development teams with construction contracts, RFPs and other agreements related to greenfield developments; o Compliance:
Overseeing regulatory compliance matters for the Brandt Group of Companies and providing proactive advice on new developments in applicable laws to Brandt's senior management;
Working with other Brandt corporate groups to draft, implement and monitor Brandt policies, practices and procedures;
Overseeing Brandt's Privacy Policy; This is an in-person position with an office located at Brandt's Head Office in Regina, Saskatchewan.
