At the CCTS, our mandate is to review and resolve telecommunications and television complaints after interaction between the customer and their service provider has failed to produce a satisfactory outcome.

The CCTS provides a free and impartial service to customers of approximately 253 Participating Service Providers ("
PSPs"), represented by over 371 customer-facing brands.

Position Overview

Your Role:


As a Communications Coordinator, you will be responsible managing CCTS' social media channels and for providing ongoing support in relation to communications-related initiatives and projects.


Your Responsibilities:


  • Manage CCTS' social media posts and interactions
  • Review user generated posts on social media accounts in a timely manner and respond according to CCTS' established guidelines. Track and report on visitor traffic.
  • Create images/videos or work with external consultant to create visual content for use on social media accounts and other communication or promotional products
  • Implement website updates as required
  • Collect, draft and/or format content for internal and external newsletters
  • Respond to and triage various departmental requests including translation, template creation, printing services, etc.
  • Coordinate meetings & various consultations in support of the Director. Assist in notetaking as required
  • Maintain and review Media Monitoring account and synthesis news for department
  • Assist the Communications team with special projects and initiatives as required
  • You have
    a minimum of 3 years' experience in a communications role, or an equivalent combination of education and experience:
  • You have
    Post-secondary education in a related field
  • You have worked with programs such as
    Hootsuite to manage social media accounts, or
    WordPress as a web content management system
  • You have an imaginative side and like to show off this flair by using
    online tools for light graphic manipulation and developing visual content for social media
  • At the root of it
    you love to communicate with people You are comfortable reaching out and engaging both internally with colleagues and externally with important stakeholders as well as the public.
  • You are
    fluent in English, with excellent written and oral communications skills.

Bilingual? Even better French/English bilingualism is
very strongly preferred. Most importantly, you must have a very strong ability to communicate clearly (both orally and in writing). A strong preference will be given for
excellent writing skills in both French and English.
