Description
Under the direction of the Manager, Records and Registration the incumbent is a senior level member of a team that supports the entire lifecycle of the students.
The incumbent provides expert guidance and direction to the team in relation to the processing of record and registration transactions ensuring that the overall enrolment and retention strategy of Sheridan is supported.
What You'll Be Doing
Validating enrolment requirements and specifications through the review and analysis of existing configuration in the Student Information System (SIS) to meet current and future registration needs.
Analysing system-related web registration issues, notes trends, identifies solutions and logs problems with Service Desk and escalates issues to the Manager when necessary.
Communicating changes in relation to Postsecondary, CAPS or Apprenticeship offerings to the front-line staff in the Office of the Registrar and acts as secondary support to these areas for times of conflict resolution.
Assisting team members in resolving conflicts with clients and determines when issues need to be escalated to the supervisor for resolution.
Providing a leadership role to team members and provides expert advice and guidance to assist them in the performance of their duties and in dealing with exceptional registration situations.
Assessing students' progress in programs from term to term based on the academic standing policies and established requisites and identifies trends or variations in enrolment patterns that may affect and/or impact enrolment targets.
Responding to client issues involving course and timetable changes, course adds, drops, swaps and transfers, program withdrawals, advance standings, while at the same time analysing each situation and providing the best guidance/information to the client.

You have excellent written communication skills with report writing experience.

You exercise sound judgement and your sharp problem solving and conflict resolution skills, along with your ability to invite new ways of thinking, allow you to solve challenges in a creative way to help advance organizational goals.
You have the skills and knowledge to work with an increasingly diverse student and staff population as well as a proven commitment to anti-oppression, equity, and inclusion.
Must possess a minimum of 5-years relevant experience processing complex and specialized information, preferably in Records and Registration.
Must have strong communication skills (interpersonal and client service delivery) and advisory/consultation skills. Proven ability to effectively communicate to a diverse audience through various mediums.
