_Can Art is a commercial leader in the Aluminum Extrusion field, with 3 plants in Ontario, come and join a true industry leader in this exciting manufacturing field.

_

  • We need Assistant Press Operators to start immediately at our Brampton Plant, near Steeles Ave West and Finch Ave East_

Schedule: 12 hour shifts, rotational (2 weeks in days, and 2 weeks in night) and continental (2 days on, 2 days off, every other weekend)


Duties:


  • Set up and operate press machines to produce highquality products
  • Monitor machine operations to ensure proper functioning and make adjustments as needed
  • Ability to breakdown dies and operate the die oven/understand the impact of temperature on dies
  • Load and unload materials onto the press machine using a hoist
  • Inspect finished products for defects and ensure they meet quality standards
  • Understand tooling stack and die configurations
  • Ability to identify different sizes, length, and alloys of billets
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Perform routine maintenance on the press machine to keep it in optimal condition

Skills:


  • Experience operating press machines or similar equipment in a manufacturing setting
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications
  • Knowledge of EPICS and Road Runner an _asset_
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to perform quality checks
  • Basic math skills for measuring and calculating dimensions
  • Good problemsolving skills to troubleshoot issues with the machine
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and meet production targets
