And that's where you come in. The Finance Department is responsible for the centralized financial, asset and systems management for CCOHS and external customers.

You will play a significant role in maintaining the CCOHS financial control environment while providing accurate and timely financial reports to management.

You'll be leading our Accounting team to make these plans a reality. Along the way you'll help develop the ERP. You will work closely with managers to provide financial analysis and ensure their reporting needs are being met.

About the Role:


  • As an Accounting Manager, you will provide daily oversight to your team of analysts and finance clerks, and supervise the management of full cycle accounting inclusive of accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger management, business analysis and full financial reporting.
  • Reporting to the Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer, you will lead the preparation of the annual budget, and assist with various reports for external stakeholders, including the Departmental Plan, Departmental Results Report, and reports for the Council of Governors.
  • You understand the importance of high service quality, and will play a key role in implementing and managing financial systems and system enhancements such as CCOHS' ERP. This includes developing the reporting functionality to provide value added information to all service units.

What You Have:


  • University degree in Commerce, Business Administration or equivalent
  • Professional accounting designation is required (CPA)
  • Several years of experience in progressive accounting roles and experience in a financial management role
  • Federal government experience is a strong asset
  • Experience preparing financial statements, audit working papers and account reconciliations
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Experience in implementing and managing BI reporting system
  • Experience in implementing and managing internal controls within an ERP
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of personal data
  • Bilingualism (French / English) is an asset

$99,571 to
