Scale house Operator/Administrative Assistant

What will the role entail?
The Scale House Operator/Administrative Assistant is responsible for tracking deliveries to the landfill, completes data entry and provides administrative support working closely with the operations team.
What are the primary duties and responsibilities?
- Prepare daily sign in/out records for all landfill deliveries
- Enter daily scale tickets, driver service logs and shift reports
- Enter data into Trimble system for landfill operations and other related duties as assigned
- Utilize MS Excel to create and maintain various spreadsheets and reports
- Transfer and provide documents to appropriate personnel
- Record, track and verify waste disposal permits to ensure accuracy and proper use

What does Acden need from me?
- Class Five (5) Driver's License with a clean Driver's Abstract is required
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a waste management related field is considered an asset
- Two (2) or more years' experience in an Administrative or Data Entry position is considered an asset
- High degree of accuracy with strong troubleshooting and problemsolving skills
- Positive attitude, reliable and team orientated with highly developed interpersonal skills and ability to work harmoniously within a diverse workforce
- Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Applications (Outlook, Excel, and Word)
- Must have access to all Acden client sites as required by the position
- Valid OSSA Regional and CSTS09, OSSA BSO or CSO Certificate
- SWANA Landfill Operation Basics (LOB) Certification is an asset
- Clear and precise verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent time management and effective organization skills
