Our Canadian operation, Canaccord Genuity Corp., is currently looking for a Talent Development Specialist who will be responsible for supporting the new hire onboarding experience as well as L&D initiatives which could include the development, coordination, and delivery of learning solutions for the firm.

They will be responsible for developing and maintaining a variety of training materials along with vendor relations, scheduling courses, overseeing participation, tracking enrollments, and preparing routine reports as necessary alongside supporting the new hire onboarding journey.

This position will also actively contribute to the review, development, and delivery of blended, online and in-person learning solutions for various employee groups across the firm as well as supporting L&D's organizational and annual goals.


Responsibilities:


  • Organizational Engagement & Partnerships_
  • Work closely with the HR departmental areas to support the development, delivery of HR and L&D eLearning and live trainings;
  • Enable an excellent stakeholder experience by answering employee and manager questions in a timely manner about Learning & Development resources;
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, and in partnership with the VP of Talent Management, to develop and provide employees with up to date, highquality and accurate catalogue of practical learning materials developed on the principles and practices of adult learning ;
  • Contribute to planning, creating, and delivering welcome events and orientation sessions for new hires, as well as gathering feedback and adapting the program accordingly;
  • Partner with IT, Compliance and Legal to use LMS and SharePoint technologies for creating and managing training campaigns for eLearning, enrolments for L&D workshops, completions of HR onboarding events and training.
  • Manage the administration of annual mandatory trainings such as the Code of Conduct
  • Program Development_
  • Coordinate with the Talent teams to design and facilitate onboarding resources to support new hire onboarding journey.
  • Contribute to planning, creating, and delivering welcome events and orientation sessions for new hires, as well as gathering feedback and adapting the program accordingly;
  • Design and roll out change management components of Performance Management/Leadership in collaboration with Talent teams and support yearround performance and career development activities;
  • Support CG Mentoring programs through communication and program execution.
  • Support the design and execution of L&D and Talent related Programs and Initiatives as required
  • Develop L&D communications in support of DEI, wellbeing, and employee engagement e.g. L&D Newsletter;
  • Identify and champion opportunities for improvement in our new hire onboarding journey;
  • Solicit and review feedback on training workshops continuous evolution of learning content;
  • Produce monthly training reports inclusive of attendance and feedback;
  • Maintain awareness of HR hiring procedures and processes to ensure any changes are incorporated into existing and new hire onboarding;
  • Stay in tune with industry trends and current learning technologies along with your own professional development interests and needs.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven skills, certifications, and/or postsecondary education in Human Resources, Business and/or Instructor or Teachers Designation;
  • Experience delivering engaging presentations that achieve desired outcomes;
  • Demonstrated success in coordination of training and partnering with crossfunctional partners;
  • Strong written and oral communication skills and passion for content development with attention to detail;
  • Proven time management ability working in a high volume, dynamic environment;
  • Experience working with/producing content to an LMS platform preferred;
