Detailed Function/Job summary

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage and review all claim requests, billing files, payment notifications and other inquiries from clients using various distribution channels.
  • Respond to client inquiries and manage requests for additional information.
  • Maintain of the operations and claims workflow systems including new treaty information such as claims authority, review error reports, and determination if claim decisions are required.
  • Data capture for individual claims, risk validation,, set up claim files, and refer to claims adjudicators. Process payments.
  • Validate and pay claims related expenses such as investigation costs and litigation expenses.
  • Claims and premiums accounting entries in Omega (including retrocession).
  • Support adjudicators in preparation and delivery of added value work such as trainingsessions/webinars and other claims initiatives.
  • Launch the billing files in the system.
  • Analysis of system rejects and warnings.
  • Conduct analysis on data reported by clients to identify and escalate any discrepancies.
  • Assist with Claim Tracking and Claims Bordereau Submissions.
  • System testing and support/ Build and maintain a "key notes summary administration" per cedant to easily have a complete view (including history) of the reinsurance administration.
  • Support colleagues in other duties such as analytical reviews, and technical accounting.
  • Maintain accurate records of all transactions.
  • Prepare reports on reinsurance activity for management.
  • Additional tasks/projects as required by management.
Requirements in experience, competency, education and qualifications

  • 3 years of experience in Financial Services/Reinsurance/Insurance preferred
  • Life reinsurance administration
  • Understanding of Life reinsurance treaties
  • Claims administratin experience (preferred)
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to identify, resolve issues, and present information in a clear manner.
  • Highly organized, results oriented with the ability to proactively manage stakeholder expectations.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and within deadlines.
  • Ability to identify and manage key priorities.
  • Strong relationship building skills / team player.
  • Advanced working proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel V-Lookups, Pivot Tables, Complex Formulas, etc.
