About the Position

  • The role of Dishwasher with Peake of Catering is an exciting opportunity for the right person. Responsible for maintaining the kitchen/dishpit and lobby areas of our headquarters in accordance with Peake of Caterings standards, and hygiene regulations, you will be working in a great space with a positive teamfocused environment. We are looking for reliable, confident, hardworking individuals who take pride in their work and a genuine interest in working in a fastpaced, welcoming and open environment.

Major Responsibilities**- Ensure the kitchen and ops areas are clean, well maintained, and organised at all times

  • Operate dishwashing equipment and maintain a hygienic work environment
  • Collect and remove trash, compost, cardboard, and recycling from kitchen, bathrooms, and operations areas. Dispose of broken or damaged equipment properly and safely
  • Ensure all kitchen and operations equipment used in the production or delivery of food and beverage services are clean and in working order
  • Organise clean equipment and items in a safe and well thought out manner
  • Assist the kitchen staff with light prep work as instructed by the lead Chef on duty
  • Mop and sanitize the floors in the kitchen, bathrooms, and operations areas
*Tasks outside of those outlined in the job description may be required during times of increased demand*
Education, skills and qualifications

  • Previous relevant experience in similar catering or highvolume restaurants with stable work history
  • Knowledge of hygiene procedures (HACCP)
  • Professional demeanor and appearance
  • Knowledge of food and hygiene regulations (HACCP) is required
  • Professional appearance, demeanor and conduct (Refer to the _Peake of Catering Employee and Policy Manual_ for appearance standards and rules
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Able to work in a high pressure and fast paced environment and strong ability to multitask
  • Able to work varied shifts including holidays and weekends
  • Strong willingness to learn and develop one's skills

Ongoing Expectations and Physical/Mental Demands

  • This role will require lifting of supplies, equipment, and product
  • This position requires long periods of standing and moving
  • Immediate environment will frequently be noisy and busy
  • Ongoing exposure to normal kitchen hazards (ovens, sharp objects, slippery surfaces)
