The Court Services Branch is responsible for the delivery of all court administration services in British Columbia and for supporting timely and equitable access to the court system.


North Vancouver Provincial Courthouse is looking for an enthusiastic individual, who exemplifies the values of the BC Public Service, to join our team as a Registry Technician.

As the Registry Technician, you will be responsible for performing specialized counter clerk duties and making independent judicial decisions as delegated by the Registrar of Small Claims.


The position provides technical and administrative support to registry staff, court clerks, judiciary, legal profession justice system participants, and the public.

You will provide counter service to the public to file, check and interpret complex documents for content, accuracy, and compliance with court requirements; complete document processing in computerized system; respond to complex technical inquiries from the public, members of the bar and other agencies.

The position is responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable legislation, policies, methods, and procedures.


Job Requirements:

  • Secondary school graduation or equivalent (GED).
  • 2 years of recent office experience (within the last 5 years);
    OR:
  • 1 year of experience working in Court Administration.
  • Minimum of 40 words per minute (WPM) in keyboarding.
  • Experience in Court Programs and Applications (CEIS, CCD, CTAS).
  • Experience as a Court Clerk and/or Registry Clerk.
  • Experience in Small Claims Court.
