There is a chance to get involved in research and/or teaching roles with Dalhousie University, if that piques your interest. The local community hospital, Eastern Memorial Hospital, serves the population in the eastern part of Guysborough County. The nearest regional hospital, St. Martha's Regional Hospital, is around 130 kilometers from Canso. The compensation model for this position is an alternate payment plan (APP). The family practice office is owned by the community and has administrative support staff.
