We are currently looking for a Team Lead of Health and Wellness to join our team of committed professionals. This full-time position within the Association is housed at the YMCA of Northeastern Ontario's Durham location in Sudbury.

Under the leadership of the Supervisor of Health & Wellness, the Team Lead - Health & Wellness is responsible for coordinating the planning and development of programs and services according to the YMCA policies, procedures and standards ensuring participant satisfaction.

LOCATION:
Sudbury, ON


RATE OF PAY:
$35,600 - $44,400 per year


HOURS: 40 per week

Major Responsibilities

  • Participate in program delivery through instructing group fitness classes, delivering Y Thrive appointments and personal training
  • Support the scheduling of the weekly Group Fitness program and arrange for class coverage as required
  • Assist in the development and promotion of the seasonal wellness programs
  • Drive member engagement and retention through the delivery and promotion of the Y Thrive program
  • Assist in providing support to staff and volunteers
  • Support the creation of weekly group fitness schedule based on staff and volunteer availability
  • Build relationships with members and guests, and promote the YMCA as a charitable organization

Qualifications:


  • College diploma or University degree in Physical Fitness Management, Recreation Management, Kinesiology, Human Kinetics, Physical Education or related field
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a similar role, including leadership experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Selfmotivated and a strong team player
  • Bilingualism in both official languages an asset
  • Current and satisfactory Police Record with Vulnerable Sector Check
