    The Opportunity

    Reporting directly to the Supply Chain Discipline Capability & Communications Manager and based in Calgary, AB or Houston, TX, this role will assist in strengthening the organizational health of the function by partnering with our leaders and relevant functions to support development and embedding of a discipline specific (Supply Chain) Capability Development and Internal Communication competency in our workforce.

    This role will be part of a team supporting our Supply Chain department of 350+ professionals across Canada, the US and Mexico. This team will understand the current and future capability needs of supply chain, and ensure the alignment of the professional development plans with the capability needs, serving as functional liaisons with Training & Development to define training requirements, consistency in job descriptions aligned with current organization, and internal supply chain communications to ensure a diverse and capable workforce. This role will support the transformational work of building out the program and embedding it as an ongoing way of working as we execute our three-year strategy.

    This role will not replace nor duplicate any other functional roles or process ownership accountabilities and will utilize existing support functions for all standard service offerings such as Corporate Communication tool kits, Change Management tool kits, HRBP and standard processes wherever available or centralized.

    What You'll Do

    With the leadership of the Discipline Capability and Communications Manager and support of other team members, you will work with Supply Chain leaders and relevant functions to establish and embed supply chain discipline specific:

    • Intra-Supply Chain Communication Strategy and Collateral - town halls, department communications, newsletters, buying channel management pages and functional share points, critical cascade comms to enable supply chain effectiveness, etc. This role will leverage Corporate Communication toolkits and standards wherever they apply.
    • Business enablement for non-focus work - partner with the Change Management Centre of Expertise within HR to integrate change management practices and for small-scale or minor initiatives such as sourcing and contracting events, adoption of processes and tools, etc. as we execute our three-year roadmap. For moderate or significant change initiatives, partner with or support as required if a Change Management Specialist is available to Supply Chain
    • Assist in the definition of the training needs and priorities for the function and partner with the Training Centre of Expertise within HR to identify appropriate solution(s)
    • Support the embedding of Individual Professional Development plans and standard supporting deliverables aligned with standard job families for function wide capability development
    • Support the development of discipline specific job description technical standards and adherence to them - core requirements by job family and level, key descriptors, etc.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (6+ years) in business, supply chain, communication, organizational psychology, or related fields
    • Demonstrated passion for developing capability of others
    • Superior oral and written communication skills
    • Demonstrated alignment with TC Energy's values of Safety, Innovation, Responsibility, Collaboration, and Integrity

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Ability to distill high complex issues and quickly find resolutions to get results
    • Proven ability to balance multiple and competing priorities within tight timelines
    • Demonstrates flexibility/adaptability in reaction to change and ambiguity
    • Strong presentation skills and ability to facilitate workshops.

    This position requires candidates to:

    • Travel to other company locations for temporary assignments, meetings or training will be required (estimated up to 15% of work schedule).
