You are the key player in the Vendor Management Office and are responsible for managing the vendor IT contract portfolio.

This role is pivotal in the IT department's interactions with the portfolio of suppliers of services, hardware, and software.

You will also define and facilitate communication between the enterprise and its providers in order to deliver products and services according to plan and within budget.

The role is to ensure that all service level agreements (SLAs) for information technology services across the organization are delivered according to specifications.

This includes developing, managing, and administering service management best practices. Finally, you closely collaborates with the Strategic Procurement Team to align priorities for the benefit of the organization.

  • Strategy & Planning :_
  • Build a dedicated and experienced Vendor Management Office, developing processes to focus on managing the entire portfolio of IT vendors;
  • Share insights with the procurement team that will try to obtain better terms and prices on behalf of the entire IT department;
  • Develop, establish, implement, and enforce supplier and outsourcer guidelines, obligations, and service level agreements to the organization;
  • Define contract recommendations that support business and IT goals, in collaboration with procurement team and stakeholders;
  • Determine scope and objectives for all IT vendor SLAs; deliver techniques, practices, and procedures for SLAs formation and administration.
  • Acquisition & Deployment_

In partnership with the strategic procurement team:

  • Contribute to negotiating terms, conditions of sale, and warranties of goods, products, SLAs and services with key suppliers, vendors, and service providers;
  • Develop, establish, implement, and enforce supplier and outsourcer guidelines, obligations, and SLAs to the organization;
  • Resolve current issues with IT service providers;
  • Review any supplier addition requests, screens and escalate any large or unusual requisitions;
  • Ensure at any time, procurement practices are compliant with the procurement policy.


  • Operational Management_

  • Direct and manage IT product and service contracts from beginning to end;
  • Develop, establish, implement, and enforce supplier and outsourcer guidelines, obligations, and service level agreements with the organization;
  • Support the organization's budgeting processes for IT managed services;
  • Evaluate and monitor contract performance for compliance with organizational needs and requirements, including followup checks for corrective action;
  • Establish and maintain regular written and inperson communications regarding pertinent SLA's and contract activities with the IT organization's executives and department heads;
  • Effectively communicate contract strategies to IT team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion;
  • Assess vendor resources and expertise;
  • Maintain a catalog of preferred vendors for IT products and services;
  • Develop metrics and standards for IT vendor performance;
