Job Overview:


This GM has responsibility for leading the Canadian business and representing the organization externally as the face of Safe-Guard in the Canadian market.

The GM, Canada will (i) create an integrated business development strategy to grow revenue and market share, (ii) enhance the Canadian brand, and (iii) build and deepen relationships with the relatively autonomous local subsidiaries of global OEMs.

More specifically, the GM Canada will be accountable for:


Responsibilities:


  • Developing and executing the business plan to achieve financial, volume and marketplace objectives. Lead the development of multiyear growth strategies that are client specific. Prioritize objectives and initiatives including market research, competitive benchmarking, product design, regulatory compliance, underwriting/risk management, and pricing to deliver against client objectives
  • Overseeing the general management functions including Sales and Marketing and coordinating with internal partners from Claims Operations, Finance, IT, HR and Legal located in the Atlanta home office
  • Building the Safe-Guard brand in Canada
  • Communicating the value proposition of the Safe-Guard F&I business model to potential clients including Dealer Groups/Principals and OEMs
  • Developing products and services tailored to the Canadian F&I market
  • Achieving the Safe-Guard customer experience (SLAs, CSAT) in the Canadian market to attract and retain customers
  • Leveraging key internal partners in the Atlanta office in support of business development initiatives in Canada
  • Coordinating with Corporate Sales Training to support the Canadian Sales Training function as it services Dealer and OEM customers
  • Building a strong, effective, highperformance team, motivating, coaching, developing and communicating regularly with team members to help them perform to their maximum potential as individuals and as a team. Strengthen the quality of the team through leadership development, talent management, and recruiting of strong talent that builds organizational capability and fits the culture. Lead and coach team to continuously improve functional excellence, collaboration, systems and processes to drive stronger results
  • Representing the organization externally as the senior most executive of Safe-Guard in Canada

Job Requirements:

years of experience preferably in the F&I industry which may be a combination of Retail GM (Group or multi-franchise), OEM F&I Services, Warranty or Third Party Administrator.

S/he will bring a disciplined, entrepreneurial style and will relish the sales and service process, and gain satisfaction from winning business and customer loyalty

  • Accomplished B2B sales leader with a track record of driving impressive growth results through team building, coaching and mentorship.
  • Must be authorized to work in Canada
  • Must be able to successfully pass a background check
