JOB - ASPHALT PLANT OPERATOR

• Full Time, Permanent
• Work Location: 171 Resources rd. Goffs Nova Scotia, B2T 0L
• Wage is based on experience and qualifications

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Understand and execute technical mixing operations to produce quality asphalt as per specifications.
• Conduct the operations of the asphalt plant for loading trucks with material.
• Complete work to ensure standards, specifications, and requirements are met.
• Oversee preventive maintenance and be able to make repairs if needed.
• Lift and place equipment/materials during plant maintenance & servicing.
• Responsible for the safe operation & condition of the asphalt plant with safe work practice and safe job procedure.
• Promptly report any possible problems or defects with plant.
• Perform daily and weekly production reports.
• Other duties as defined from time to time.
• Assisting QC and ensuring mix designs meets specifications.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous 1 year of Asphalt Operations or related experience.
• Skills required: written and verbal communication, planning, organisation, scheduling, and interpersonal relationship, multi tasking and attention to detail.
• Intermediate computer skills using MS Office.
• Learn/Operate the Loader & Skid Steer.
• Must have mechanical skills for asphalt plant maintenance, repairs.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and good driver's abstract.
