About the role:


As a Team Leader your role is fundamental in providing effective supervision, leadership, and mentoring to our team of caseworkers and reintegration workers.

Your leadership will guide our team in delivering quality services that not only meet program goals but also adhere to rigorous quality assurance measures.


Your responsibilities extend beyond mere oversight; you will actively mentor and coach team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.

Through your guidance, staff will develop the skills and confidence needed to excel in their roles, ultimately benefiting the individuals we serve.


Your leadership will be instrumental in promoting collaboration and cohesion among team members, ensuring everyone is working towards a common purpose.

By setting clear expectations and providing regular feedback, you will empower staff to perform at their best while maintaining a supportive and positive work environment.


In addition to supervision and mentoring, you will guide the completion of comprehensive assessments and lead the development of individualized service plans that are holistic, person-centered, focused on addressing criminogenic needs to reduce recidivism and developing skills that promote growth and independence.

Through your leadership, you will inspire creativity and innovation in finding solutions to complex issues, empowering residents to overcome obstacles and achieve their goals.


By leading by example and providing mentorship to your team, you will ensure that our program remains at the forefront of excellence in rehabilitative housing, making a tangible difference in the lives of those we serve.


Required Education and Background:


  • Post-Secondary Degree or Diploma in a relevant social service field (ex. Developmental Service Worker, Psychology, Social Service Worker, Community Justice Worker, etc.; _Equivalent experience and skills will also be considered._
  • Experience in a supervision role and ability to provide constructive feedback and coaching, ensuring adherence to policy, procedures, and program timelines.
  • Preferred: Familiarity with specialized approaches for supporting clients with complex needs, developmental disabilities, mental health, addictions, homelessness and trauma.
  • Preferred: Familiarity and experience working with the Adult Criminal Justice System.
  • Ability to prioritize, delegate, and adapt to changing workloads and priorities.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, inspire, and mentor team members.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on fostering collaboration and teamwork.
  • Proficiency in conflict resolution, problemsolving, and decisionmaking.
  • Strong understanding and knowledge of the Justice and Social Services systems, services and supports.
  • Strong understanding and knowledge the unique challenges and supports required for individuals with developmental disabilities and mental health challenges.
  • Strong Understanding of human behavior, and knowledge of behavioral change models, and risk management principles.
  • Proven ability to develop strong working relationships with community stakeholders, partners, or members.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, policies, and best practices working in rehabilitative housing and developmental services.
