Mental Health Coach positions available across Canada

Position Summary
You'll work as part of a dynamic team focused on connecting individuals to mental health supports.

Using your background in clinical care or social work, you will meet clients by phone or video call to discuss their mental health concerns and guide them to interventions and/or therapy based on their needs.

The mental health coach needs to be a strong communicator, understand the principles of behaviour change and have the ability to encourage and influence positive choices.

You'll also actively participate in clinical initiatives, team meetings and case consultations.

There are many moving parts and to be successful you must bring an ability to empathize, multi-task, prioritize and support our clients and each other.


Organizational Relationships


The Mental Health Coach reports directly to the Team Lead, Mental Health Coach and works closely with diverse stakeholder groups across the organization, including nurse intakes, and mental health therapists.


Responsibilities

  • Assess, support, monitor, and reassess client's individual mental health needs from lifestyle modifications to treatment interventions
  • Explain mental health terminology, strategies, and care plan recommendations
  • Identify appropriate client interventions that promote greater levels of wellbeing
  • Manage client information and wellness resources using various company technology systems
  • Coach clients to access appropriate specialists, programs, and other resources, including the coordination of appointments, to help them attain their goals
  • Provide ongoing support and encouragement, and assisting clients in accessing any available benefits, as they work towards achieving their personal goals
  • Participate in team meetings and proposed enhancements to program processes and development of new initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills and Experience

  • Undergraduate degree in psychology, social work, or RPN/RN in good standing (minimum requirement)
  • Minimum of 2 years counselling/coaching experience, postgraduation
  • Excellent communication skills in English and French (other languages also an asset)
  • Highly computer proficient
  • Strong knowledge of the Canadian healthcare system
  • Superb time management and organizational skills

This is a fully remote position and is scheduled throughout Monday - Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. EST and 11:00 p.m. EST. Any employees working in timezones outside of EST will not be expected to work for the 8:00 a.m. EST shifts.

We are looking for a mix of permanent full-time and permanent part-time employees who can commit to a shift within those hours.
