Duties:


Reporting to the Registrar, the incumbent is responsible for the procurement, analysis, and resolution of all relevant information, data, and constraints in order to produce Campus program, faculty, and room schedules for Post-Secondary and Non-Post-Secondary programs.

The incumbent must provide these schedules in each of the three semesters within the critical deadlines as dictated by the College Administration, the Collective Agreement for faculty and the annual Scheduling Timelines compiled by the incumbent for the Admin.

Calendar of Events.

The incumbent updates the scheduling guidelines determined by the College and provides direction and training on TPHi software and software upgrades as required.

The incumbent also processes statistical data each semester from all campuses and produces performance reports for comparison and review.


QUALIFICATIONS:


Education and Experience:


A minimum of a 3-year College diploma in Information Systems or Business Operations Management or an equivalent combination of relevant education and practical experience with an emphasis on scheduling, process optimization, capacity management and planning.

A minimum of 3 years of practical work experience preferably in an academic environment supporting staff and facilities scheduling.


Other Required Qualifications:


  • Competency with an ERP system such as PeopleSoft, office tools, and familiarity with software generally used for scheduling, logistics and capacity planning to achieve optimum results.
  • Incumbent must be a selfstarter with excellent office and organization/time management skills and the ability to function well under a variety of external pressures.
  • Ability to compile, analyze and maintain statistics.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • The ability to negotiate and/or mediate effectively, listen and assess and act with diplomacy is essential.

Physical/Work Environment Essential Requirements:


The successful incumbent must have the ability to report to the work location or work temporarily from a remote location with reliable internet access, as approved by the College and in accordance with the college's Telework Policy.

The incumbent may be required to travel between campuses. This position is located in a normal office environment.


SALARY AND TERMS:
