About UsThe Role
Reporting to the Manager, Project Controls, the Project Controls Coordinator provides support to projects through scheduling and admin functions within the PMO, known as the Program Controls Group.
The Project Controls System monitors, controls and reports on project costs, budget, schedule, risk, and overall project performance, both actual and predicted.
The Project Control System is a critical component of OSI's Project Management strategy.Main Responsibilities
- Support the setup and implementation of the project controls management systems, processes, and workflows
- Assist with the preparation of the overall project control plan and validating project controls data
- Prepare and maintain project data to closure within the ERP and scheduling system, including the development of the WBS, resourcing plan and cashflow milestones
- Support the development of the project baselines by aligning the project estimate, schedule and scope
- Prepare and organize monthly project forecasts in coordination with the project managers and project accountants
- Support the preparation of routine project and adhoc status reports and dashboards for project managers, senior management and clients.
- Acts as a focal point of contact for project coordinators and project managers in acquiring detailed project cost information, including invoices, payments, accruals, etc.
- Perform change management functions and maintain change management records of scope changes, trends, and variances
- Collaborates with the financial controls team on periodic budgeting and forecasting requirements
- Support continuous improvement on all PMO processes
- Experience in project control roles on programs and/or portfolios in an engineering environment is preferred
- Solid software skills in Excel are required, experience with SharePoint, MS PowerBI, MS Teams, Epicor and P6 is preferred
- Strong coordination, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Strong ability to handle competing priorities
- 5+ years of experience in a project controls or project accountant role is required
