Project Manager

Job Summary:

Under the support and direction of the FPSO Product Line Manager, the Project Manager will manage the activities of Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) Swivel, Rotary and Electronics projects to ensure cost, schedule, and quality standards are met.

This position is responsible for providing support for the planning, organization, and control of projects from the conceptual stage through delivery.

This role includes managing engineering, procurement, fabrication, assembly and testing activities associated with Focal projects.

Responsibilities:

Review project documentation to define scope, budget and schedule
Effectively manage scope of supply and internal/external relationships throughout project execution
Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, milestone schedules, action registers and internal/external status reports
Assist with the assignment of resources and team formation
Address questions and concerns of project team, management, and customers in professional and confident manner
Provide project progress status, delays, and issues to customers in timely manner
Manage and lead scope changes
Perform technical writing
Manage project documentation deliverables, including prioritizing deliverables
Assist with the coordination of testing, shipping, and post project reviews
Prepare agendas, coordinate, and lead required project meetings (kickoffs, design reviews, risk assessments, etc.) and circulate actions from meetings
Ensure that project deliverables meet customer expectations

Basic Qualifications:

Postsecondary education with preference given to a Technologist, or Diploma qualification in Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or Technology; exposure to more than one engineering discipline in a manufacturing setting is desirable, e.g., mechanical and electronics.
Work experience in a Project Management, Project Engineer, or similar role leading projects
PMP designation or further education in project management would be considered an asset.
Demonstrated technical writing ability
Design related experience or experience with 2D or 3D CAD would be an asset
Ability to collaborate with others, manage budgets and timelines, and the ability to interact with all levels of the organization, including outside entities.
A selfstarter with demonstrated initiative, with mechanical and electrical/electronic experience.
Excellent written and verbal communications/presentation skills.
Exceptional organizational and decisionmaking skills.
Demonstrated skills in evaluating information and proactively finding solutions.
Willing to travel in North America and overseas when required, although not expected to be a travel intensive role.
