Approved by the Ontario Ministry of Health in 2020, The Rainy River District Ontario Health Team (RRDOHT) is at the forefront of reshaping healthcare in the region. Committed to delivering a patient-centred approach, RRDOHT is an Ontario Health Team (OHT) comprising health-care providers and organizations. Established to streamline and enhance healthcare services, RRDOHT is dedicated to serving the unique needs of the Rainy River District in Northwestern Ontario. As an Ontario Health Team, the RRDOHT are clinically and fiscally accountable for delivering a full and coordinated continuum of care to the Rainy River District, comprised of 10 municipalities and 10 First Nation communities, roughly a population of 20,000.

Reporting to the Leadership Council, the inaugural Executive Director of the RRDOHT will identify internal and external issues, provide professional advice, oversee day-to-day operations, and manage programs and special projects. The ED works closely with the RRDOHT Steering Committee to shape the organization's vision and strategy. Focused on strategic oversight, the ED will oversee the financial planning and fundraising efforts of the organization. Building community relations and advocacy work are essential to promoting the organization's goals, and ED will have the independence to address emerging issues and inquiries from various stakeholders.

A compelling spokesperson for the organization, the inaugural ED will act as an ambassador and represent the aims and values of the RRDOHT. An entrepreneurial and visionary leader, this individual brings a wealth of knowledge and proven skills required to establish, build, and scale a new organization. A trusted ambassador, you forge effective partnerships across diverse stakeholder groups and have successfully built fundraising strategies. Your strong financial acumen, and results-oriented approach have increased the visibility and impact of the organizations that you have served.

As a new role within the RRDOHT, this role will initially be a 12-month contract position to develop and implement operational plans that support the organization's strategic direction and will transfer to permanent once funding is approved.
