Business Development Representative - Mississauga, Canada - Mantoria Inc.
Description
Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the trucking and freight industry.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing clients.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop effective strategies for customer acquisition and retention.
- Conduct market research to identify industry trends, competitor activities, and potential areas for business growth.
- Negotiate and close deals with carriers and shippers to maximize profitability and meet company objectives.
- Utilize CRM systems and tools to track and manage sales activities, leads, and customer interactions.
- Provide regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and opportunities to the management team.
- Stay informed about industry regulations, market conditions, and emerging technologies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is an asset, but not required.
- Proven track record of success in business development within the trucking or freight brokerage industry minimum of 3 years required.
- Strong understanding of logistics, transportation, and supply chain management.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must have some existing relationships with shippers that can be converted.
- Resultsoriented with a focus on meeting and exceeding sales targets.
- Experience with cold calling.
- Familiarity with CRM software and other sales tools.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
