Key Responsibilities:


As the
Product Management Associate, you will support the Category Management team to drive sustained and profitable sales growth across assigned categories.

You support evaluating, purchasing and pricing products, as well as managing the product lifecycle to ensure the category meets projected sales, margin and profitability objectives.

You will also participate in championing the category across the business and partnering with cross-functional teams on key strategies, tactics and projects to deliver on your category goals.

  • Jointly develop and execute annual business strategies and assortment plans to achieve sales and margin plan.
  • Represent category priorities across the business by working with internal / external partners on key strategies, partnerships, tactics and projects for the category. Work closely with other departments for execution of instore merchandising, promotions, online marketing initiatives and training of retail staff.
  • Negotiate & process exclusive offerings, terms, pricing, vendorfundedmarkdowns, returntovendor agreements, dropship programs, coop, etc.
  • Work with Category Managers and Marketing team to develop promotional themes and calendar.
  • Effectively manage product lifecycle, and develop and execute exit strategies for underperforming, aged, and end of life (EOL) products that mitigate impact to category financials.
  • Conduct pricing analysis to ensure products in the assigned category are always priced competitively.
  • Review and approve ad copy for POP, instore signage, etc., making sure that ads are accurate and meet applicable advertising guidelines/legislation.
  • Coordinate the introduction and setup of new SKUs.
  • Accurately update advertising system with changes and maintain and update ad planners as required.

Key Skills & Qualifications:


  • 2+ years of experience in a similar Product role, preferably in electronics retail
  • Postsecondary education or equivalent work experience in Business and/or Consumer Electronics
  • Excellent relationshipbuilding skills with internal and external stakeholders
  • Thoughtful, analytical, detail oriented and organized with strong project and time management skills
  • Excellent communication, leadership, strategic and project execution skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines, exceed targets and maintain accuracy in a fastpaced, dynamic setting
  • Collaborative communicator with ability to influence others to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work with cross functional teams
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite
