FULL-TIME SERVICE GENERAL MAINTENANCE WORKER
POSITION - METRO TRUCK GROUP, MILTON LOCATION

As our trusted brand continues to evolve, the General Maintenance Worker is responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to building maintenance, cleaning, outdoor work, and minor plumbing and electrical repairs.

The General Maintenance Worker, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of our facilities and equipment.

Position duties include, but are not limited to:

Conduct routine inspections of buildings, identifying and addressing maintenance issues promptly.
Perform repairs and maintenance tasks, including but not limited to painting, drywall repairs, carpentry, and hardware replacements
Respond to maintenance requests from various departments and resolve issues in a timely manner
Perform regular cleaning duties to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors; dust and wipe surfaces; empty trash and recycling bins as required
Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of outdoor areas, including parking lots, walkways, and landscaping
Clear snow, ice, and debris from walkways and parking lots during inclement weather
Conduct minor plumbing repairs, such as fixing leaks, replacing faucets, and unclogging drains.
Assist with the installation and repair of electrical fixtures, outlets, and switches.
Replace light bulbs, ballasts, and other lighting components as necessary
Perform work with safety as a priority and abiding by all safety policies and standards set out by the Metro Truck Group of Companies
Adhere to all company policies and procedures as set out by the Metro Truck Group of companies
Uphold strong communication, organization and time management skills; ability to interact effectively with customers and all levels of staff

Education & Qualifications:

Proven experience in general maintenance work, including building maintenance, cleaning, and basic plumbing and electrical repairs
Proficiency in using hand and power tools
Refined time management skills, ability to multitask and work well under pressure
Demonstrate effective verbal, listening, and written communication skills
While performing the duties of this Job, the General Maintenance Worker is required to stand; walk; bend; lift heavy objects; work at heights when required.
