What you will do
You will be a part of the full-time Youth & Community Program Team, where you will support by coordinating the day-to-day operations of multiple Youth programs, services, and resources, across the YMCA of Three Rivers communities. You will work in partnership with the Supervisor, Youth Recreation & Wellness and the Youth Staff Team, along side youth themselves, to develop programming, events, resources and activities to meet the needs of youth community wide.
You will be committed to the quality delivery and success of programs including:
the Chaplin YMCA Teen Drop in Zone, Youth Drop-in, Youth Sports, Youth Soccer, Youth Basketball, and the YMCA Youth Leadership Development Program, amongst other programs for youth aged 13-18 years.
**What you will bring
Ideally, you will have experience working with youth between the ages of 13-18 years.
You will have a minimum of 1-2 years of experience leading a team, and will have knowledge of the unique needs of the youth and resources available to them within our communities.
You have post-secondary education in Child and Youth Work, Recreation & Leisure, Social Sciences or a related field, or experience equivalent.
You will have excellent communication, leadership, and teamwork skills, in addition to strong interpersonal skills needed to build positive relationships.
You will have a passion for meaningfully engaging with youth, to meeting them where they are at, ensuring they feel heard, welcomed and supported in YMCA Programs.
You have up-to-date Standard First Aid and CPR (Level C) certification (or are willing to obtain) and the successful completion of Vulnerable Police Records Check within the last 6 months.
