As an integral member of the Interdepartmental Centre for Critical Care (ICCC) at Toronto Western Hospital (TWH), UHN, the responsibilities of the
EDUCATION PROGRAMS COORDINATOR **include: assisting in recruitment and appointment of trainees; coordinating critical care educational activities; coordinating and completing financial billing and payment activities; ensuring the efficient operation of the simulation suite; coordinating internal, regional, national, and international meetings, reviews and events; providing project coordination and creativity as required; supporting the development of annual reports; performing cross-functional and other duties consistent with the job classification, as required.


Duties

  • Facilitates recruitment and appointment processes for clinical fellowship positions. supporting program directors and ensuring effective communication with applicants. Maintains program information, schedules interviews, and fosters positive relationships with relevant institutions.
  • Coordinates educational events including support planning, scheduling, and communication. Manages logistics including venue booking, technical setup, and catering. Ensures education sessions and materials are accredited; prepares and submits all materials for program accreditation.
  • Manages the rotation program for Royal College Residency and Clinical Fellowship including liaises with academic hospital partners and trainees. Facilitates onboarding process and manages multiple priorities and ensures availability of program leaders.
  • Responsible for entering key information into the POWER system and generating reports as needed.
  • Support curriculum development and special projects activities by planning the activities, participating the meetings and managing multiple programs.
  • Manages financial billing and payment activities such as processing accounts payable and receivable transactions
  • Oversees office operations, manages program information and resources efficiently to ensure a safe and costeffective work environment.
  • Provides Support for assigned personnel by supervision their workload, help with onboarding process and orientation program.
  • Executes crossfunctional and additional duties as assigned. Operates in compliance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act, reporting hazards promptly.

Qualifications:


  • A Bachelor's degree or recognized equivalent required
  • Three (3) to four (4) years practical and related experiences required
  • Two (2) years related office administration support experience required
  • Extensive knowledge of using Microsoft Office tool as well as previous onthejob computer/wordprocessing, database and spreadsheet software
  • Superb organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent planning, writing, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work proactively and independently while anticipating and prioritizing work
  • Ability to maintain confidential matters and materials
  • Able to work effectively and efficiently under pressure and difficult situations
  • Experience working in education within healthcare environment an asset
  • Project management experience an asset
