Description

We currently have a
Regular Part-time (0.6 FTE) opportunity for a
Technician 2 in the
Medical Device Reprocessing Centre Department at our
Bayview and Holland Campus.

**Hours of Work: Weekdays:
Days, Evenings; 8hrs; As per schedule;

Alternating Weekends:
Days, Evenings; 8hrs; As per schedule; Statutory Holidays Required

Summary of Duties

Prepares surgical case carts for regular specialized and emergency situations.
Operates decontamination equipment, prepares and packages sterile instrumentation/supplies, ensuring all quality indicators are met
Operates all sterilization equipment.
Delivery and pickup of supplies.

Qualifications/Skills:

Approved Sterile Supply Processing Certificate required
Instrumentation experience essential
Previous Tech 2 experience in MDRC is essential
Applicants with previous Tech 2 experience in MDRC will be given priority
Broad knowledge of all surgical services and complex instrumentation
O.R. technical experience preferred
Excellent organizational skills
Ability to function as a team member as well as independently
Ability to work and problem solve in a fastpaced environment
Proficient in case cart preparation
Competent computer skills
