$16.45
Pay Rate after 90 shifts

MAJOR DUTIES
- Primarily responsible for cleaning and sanitizing tanks, chocolate moulding lines, candy cane equipment.
- Dismantling equipment for cleaning and sanitation purposes and putting it back.
- Leading sanitation crew and doing shift changeover to communicate the status of jobs in process.
- Carry phone for quick communication and key of chemical storage.
- Ensuring sanitation crew has sufficient tasks for the shift and team is engaged in meaningful sanitation work.
- Completion and verification of sanitation checklist.
- Mopping, wiping, steaming, scraping equipment surfaces, floors.
- Washing equipment and equipment parts, drying and keeping organized.
- Follow all GMP, food safety, sanitation principles to ensure food safety of plant & equipment.
- Cleaning of support areas such as washrooms, hand wash stations, lunchroom etc., as per predetermined frequency.
- Maintaining inventory of sanitation supplies through proper recording of supplies withdrawal from designated stores.
- Informing lead hand or supervisor when supplies falls below minimum reorder level.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must have good working knowledge of both written and oral English.
- Must be mechanically inclined and able to use hand tools.
- Must understand sanitation principles, pest issues, food safety risks.
- Must be willing to learn power truck to move heavy parts for washing & cleaning.
- Must have understanding of handling soaps & chemicals including WHMIS.
- Have clear understanding of mould washing process, equipment setup and use of chemicals and soap.
- Have clear understanding of portable steam generator, Torpedo vacuum cleaners, floor scrubbers, mixing station processes, operation and setup.
- Moderate physical demand. Perform tasks requiring moderate physical exertion such as frequent bending, lifting parts, and standing for extended hours.
- Exposure to extreme environment (hot, cold, humid).
