The Chancery Office in Hamilton is looking for a full-time (Monday to Friday 5pm - 11pm) Custodian, reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor.


Primary Responsibilities - Year Round

  • Daily Cleaning and Maintenance of Offices/Meeting Rooms/ Washrooms/ Kitchens, etc.
  • Dry mop/sweep/vacuum and wet mop all floors as necessary
  • Collection and disposal of garbage and recycling
  • Setup for meetings: arrange tables and chairs as requested, greet meeting participants as they enter the building and guide them to correct meeting space. Snow and ice control at entrances as necessary, including shoveling and salting for safety of meeting participants
  • Inspection of facility lighting system, fire alarm, and emergency systems
  • Responsible for arming and disarming building security system as required
  • Other duties as required by the Maintenance Supervisor.

Requirements:


  • Education: high school or equivalent
  • 24 years of custodial experience and in good physical condition
  • Ability to work independently and follow instruction
  • Ability to work with other custodial staff ensuring the facility is maintained at a high standard
  • Slipresistant footwear required

License:
G Class Driver's License
