Lead Technical Program Manager

Overview
Works across the Sales Enablement services teams to organize and accelerate delivery, ensuring all teams are delivering in a coordinated manner
Tracks and manages release planning, project delivery, and scope using Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) practices for strategic projects
Provides ongoing updates (with data) on the state of delivery
Proactively manages all dependencies, ensuring all outputs are production ready at launch
Manages a portfolio of SaaS tools and vendors supporting Sales Enablement and the Salesforce platforms.
Coordinates stakeholder and business owner expectations by organizing and facilitating Program Increment Planning, running monthly steer cos, running operating committees
Handles prioritization, intake, demand, and cross-functional planning during strategic project ideation
Assist in vendor and PO management.


Role

Delivery

  • Organizes, drives, and accelerates a program's value delivery from inception through delivery through the full stack of the services / domains, or, an outcome that spans multiple teams and integrations across the enterprise.
  • Understands the needs of the engineers and technical operations teams who have to build, maintain, and operate the services and technical assets.
  • Regularly reviews metrics and proactively seek out new and improved data/mechanisms for visibility.
  • Ensures the program stays aligned with organization's objectives.
  • Recognizes complexity and creates predictable delivery paths for large and/or complex efforts.
  • Keeps abreast of evolving technology landscape. Can ask the right questions to evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of designs (scalability, latency, security, performance, data integrity, etc.).
  • Works with ambiguity and with limited guidance.
Vendor Management

  • Works with technology providers that are external to Mastercard that support our implementation plans and roadmaps. Identifies opportunities to be faster, better, and less costly.
  • Manages vendor onboarding, contracting, invoicing, payment, renewals, and accruals in collaboration with internal teams as needed, such as security, sourcing, legal, finance, and others.
  • Facilitates audit preparedness on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
Communication

  • Serves as first point of contact status for Business Operations' portfolio of programs and projects.
  • Communicates clearly, concisely, and confidently with executives, peers, and staff.
  • Creates mechanisms to effectively report out and facilitate delivery.
Leadership

  • Navigates and leads the program and related team members through challenging situations.
  • Actively mentors and/or recruits others.
Process Improvement

  • Measurably improves, streamlines, and/or eliminates excess processes.
  • Utilizes cross organizational mechanisms to describe and drive continuous improvements.

About You:


  • Expert understanding of Agile frameworks, waterfall methodology, SAFe, and other delivery approaches. Ability to ascertain which delivery approach is appropriate for a given situation.
  • Experience in building large scale enterprise technical or engineering programs and products from inception to delivery and experience articulating the impact using metrics.
  • Demonstrated experience breaking down problems, organizing work, planning work/sprints, ability to work in a deadlinedriven work environment, attention to detail, and ability to multitask and deliver technical programs in agile/waterfall delivery models.
  • Coordination and organization skills and the ability to work with multiple stakeholders and vendors across locations to ensure success of the project.
  • Technical capability to effectively facilitate solving software engineering challenges, communicate with engineers, scope technical programs, and identify technical risks.
  • Enjoys diving deep to understand of the platforms capabilities and underlying technologies. Knowledge of software engineering best practices, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent.
