Reporting to the President and CEO, the Chief Operating Officer (COO) is accountable for leading all aspects of GTAA's safe and efficient 24/7 operations.

In partnership with their Executive Team peers, the incumbent is responsible for the development and fulfilment of GTAA's Strategic Plan, which includes transforming and elevating the customer experience, forging strong and flexible operational efficiency, creating financial resiliency, driving innovation, and developing a high-performing and resilient workforce and culture.

They will also play a pivotal role in the organization's large-scale transformative capital program now underway, ensuring operations in connection with the program are smooth, safe, and efficient.

Of note, the COO is responsible for improving airport flow and processes, which is connected to the development and execution of a passenger-focused strategy, all while fostering excellence at the airport—daily—as the organization pursues its long-term objectives.


The Chief Operating Officer leads an experienced Operations leadership team and plays a pivotal role in shaping management decisions throughout the organization, thereby contributing significantly to GTAA's overall success.


Qualifications:

A) a degree from a recognized university, preferably in an area that relates to aviation, transportation, business, public administration, or engineering;
B) a C-suite leadership tenure in the aviation and/or in an airport-related industry, notably gained within a regulated or complex environment accustomed to navigating high levels of public scrutiny;
C) experience leading an airport Operations division or adjacent portfolio, preferably against the backdrop of a large-scale capital construction program;
D) an inspiring leadership style and collaborative nature, thereby ensuring synergy and connection with the organization's current Executive Team as well as the staff members working in the Operations division; and

E) a reputation for being a highly adaptable leader, someone who makes sound decisions expeditiously, delegates effectively, and moves at scale.
