This position is available at our manufacturing facility located in Milton, ON.


Job Overview:

Processing Technician is a technical position that focuses on set up and processing of injection molding machinery.

Proficient knowledge of robotics and automation is required as well as the ability to work within a team for production and assembly of our products.

We are hiring for a 12-hour continental day shift, and a 12-hour continental night shift.


Essential Functions and Responsibilities:


Processing

  • Demonstrate advanced knowledge of processing injection molds
  • Knowledge of in mold labelling systems and processes
  • Set up and setting of processing parameters of ancillary units
  • Verify work order for required components and execution of those requirements
  • Perform start up process on injection molding machines and liaison with quality department for completion of first off approval process
  • Assist technical department with daily maintenance activities when needed. Perform preventative maintenance on molds and machines as per instructions of supervisors and production manager
  • Understand and adjust machine processing parameters to achieve Keter quality standards
  • Troubleshoot, disassemble and reassemble ancillary equipment for basic repair
  • Perform the Set Up Technician's essential functions as and when required

Robotics / Automation

  • Demonstrate advanced knowledge of 6 axisarticulating and cartesian robot programming and motion planning
  • Touch up and adjust robot teach positions
  • Install, repair and modify robot end of arm tooling
  • Program, customize and repair programmable controllers
  • Perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance on robotic systems or components

Additional Duties

  • Participate / lead brainstorming improvement ideas & corrective action plans
  • Lead & conduct Safety, Quality, 5S & other audits training will be provided
  • Work safety in accordance with Keter H&S policies and procedures and OHSA
  • Ensure team members in your area zone are wearing required PPE and are working in compliance with all H&S Policies and Procedures and OHSA
  • Follow work instructions
  • Communicate and work effectively with team members
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area
  • Ability to work in a high volume, fast paced work environment
  • Complete other duties as assigned

  • Physical endurance required over 12hour shift
  • Ability to lift upto 23 kilograms (50 lbs.) required

Shift Requirements:


  • Continental 12hour Shifts;
  • Day Shift 7:00am 7:00pm, and Night Shift 7:00pm7:00am;
  • Shift Rotation (7 shifts over 2week period)
  • Week 1: Mon, Tues, Fri, Sat, Sun
  • Week 2: Wed, Thurs
  • Breaks: 60 minutes total.
