As the Business Performance Management Manager (Desjardins Assurance and Desjardins Insurance), you'll play a key role in improving Desjardins General Insurance Group's business performance.
Your role will be to help the Strategy, Growth and Performance Division monitor and analyze business performance and implement solutions to translate the impacts into results.
In support of Desjardins Assurance and Desjardins Insurance (DA-DI) business lines, you'll be responsible for identifying and analyzing performance results in terms of profitable growth, making recommendations, and putting action plans into place to maximize the profitable growth potential of these business lines.
You draw on your ability to develop talent, drive results and build networks to effectively manage people and performance, produce reports and ensure member/client satisfaction.
The nature of your department's activities requires in-depth knowledge of property and casualty insurance and an comprehensive understanding of the organization.
Main responsibilities- Support your director in developing business strategies in line with the strategic directions and the unit's challenges- Define and oversee the implementation of activities related to the unit's services and ensure that projects under your responsibility are carried out to maximize business results and ensure member and client satisfaction- Establish management and communication practices that support change management, talent attraction and retention, skills development, employee engagement and diversity, in keeping with Desjardins' values.
Overall performance- Continuously analyze DGIG's business performance in terms of profitable growth in complement to the REX (DGIG's quarterly performance review)- Develop a thorough understanding of our performance issues, and track and address them as needed to quickly translate the impacts into results- Support the execution of certain key cross-sector corporate strategies, measure their performance and, if necessary, propose corrective measures- Develop and maintain an internal network.
Desjardins Assurance - Desjardins Insurance- Oversee the development and management of the DA-DI business lines with respect to profitable growth- Develop a comprehensive view of DA-DI performance, including a thorough understanding of issues and opportunities on various drivers- Collaborate with various sectors to optimize business performance and reach annual targets (marketing, distribution, actuarial, caissassurance).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, actuarial sciences, finance or a related field
- A minimum of 9 years of relevant experience, including 3 years in management
Specific knowledge- In-depth knowledge of key performance indicators for profitable growth- Advanced knowledge of English and French due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with (language)-speaking partners, members and/or clients
