Do you have an enthusiasm for creating spaces that are safe and enjoyable for people in their homes and common areas? We are searching for an organized and customer-service oriented Pest Management Technician to help implement all facets of our pest management program.


They will focus on the completing of daily maintenance, inspections, and treatments of occupied & vacant units and common areas of the community in pursuit of providing a pest-free space for our residents to enjoy.


RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Assessing and treating occupied and vacant units for pest activity
  • Providing interior and exterior inspections for residential customers
  • Identifying pests, entry points, and infestations
  • Performing routine inspections and scheduled preventative pest management inspections in all units and common areas of the community
  • Answer all customer inquiries in a professional manner
  • Recommend appropriate solutions to resolve customer concerns
  • Completing daily individual unit service reports manually
  • Producing service reports for all work performed and products within the company software
  • Working closely with the Pest Management Supervisor and other employees by recommending best course and method of treatment and preventative measures and to overcome resident escalations
  • Completing other related duties as required and within scope of the role
  • Maintaining an inventory of pest management related products
  • Working as part of a team to create and promote a cohesive and positive work environment
  • Staying current on the latest developments, trends, technology, and regulations in the pest management industry
  • Staying informed of relevant regulations as outlined in the building, property standards, and fire safety codes, as well as landlordtenant legislation and communicate any pertinent changes to their deliverables
  • They will be an ambassador for our residents by building relationships through helpful and courteous behavior
  • Listening to resident needs and offering solutions with both empathy and dignity

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

  • Postsecondary diploma or equivalency
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently
  • Must have a valid provincial Pesticide Applicators License
  • Have at least 3 years of integrated pest management experience in residential setting
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • As a condition of employment, must have a valid Criminal Background Check.
  • While not required, a working knowledge of Yardi software would be considered a strong asset
  • Understanding of current property management legal and regulatory practices
  • A working vehicle and class "G" Ontario Driver's License are a requirement
  • Proficiency with MS Office software.

WORKING CONDITIONS:


  • Occasional overtime may be required to meet deadlines
  • Competing demands may create stress
  • Physical effort is mínimal
  • Travel is mínimal, but may be required to attend special events
  • Possible exposure to pestcontrol related chemicals
  • Occasional lifting and carrying tools or equipment up to 30 pounds may be required
  • Frequent travel between buildings to visit properties and inspect equipment
