SCOPE OF THE POSITION


This critical leadership role will oversee a team of analysts that manage the Supply Chain S&OP process across the long / mid / short term horizon.

This role works externally with our diverse customer base in North America and cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, Quality, Product Development and Finance.

The span of accountability covers all replenishment requirements for materials to meet production plans, monitoring the changing demands to those plans and expediting/de-expediting as necessary.

In addition, there will be a need to drive continuous optimization across the overall supply chain within the planning and fulfillment horizons.

Coordinating within Supply Chain and the broader Commercialization team, this team supports new product development projects through all levels of launch and management of change.


THE MANDATE:


  • Lead the optimization for the mid/long term S&OP plan, as well as being the business owner for short term execution and forecast generation, liaising with Supply Chain, Sales and Customers.
  • Work across Suppliers, Operations, Warehouse & Transportation to ensure unconstrained demand can be supported profitably.
  • Work closely with Customers and Supply Chain partners in areas including demand planning, capacity planning, inventory replenishment and expediting management, optimizing for fulfillment efficiency within the network.
  • Monitoring the performance of the network through existing scorecard metrics, developing new ones where necessary.
  • Identify assignable cause to forecast misses and gaps to plan and supply issues.
  • Support S&OP alignment on tools, process, timelines, and metrics.
  • Directly manage the supporting team of Production Schedulers and Replenishment Schedulers at Indiana and Ontario sites. There is a strong focus on driving results, mentoring, coaching and development to constantly increase the potential of the team in a very collaborative culture.
  • Play a key role with Operations, Sales, Product Development, Data Governance and Customers on commercialization of new products.
  • Actively participate in recurring communications with assigned categories and Customers.

THE CANDIDATE:


  • University or college degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Preference to Certified Supply Chain Management Professionals (cSCMP) or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or completion of certification is in process.
  • Minimum of 5 years of supply chain experience with purchasing, logistics and production planning preferably in the Food Industry.
  • A proven servant leader that has a track record of attracting and developing talent.
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
  • Demand planning and production planning experience is an asset.
  • Proficient with ERP Systems (Experience in Microsoft D365 is an asset) and advanced skills in MS Office (Excel, Word).
  • Able to travel USA/Canada.
