**Description: - Permanent Full Time- We are looking for an
_ Administrative Assistant - Detection, Prevention & Integrity Services, Group Customer (DPIS)_

  • The Administrative Assistant is a key member of the health and dental team that supports effective health and dental claims fraud prevention to Canada Life customers. The main function of the Administrative Assistant is to perform a variety of administrative duties to ensure daily business operations can function.
  • As an Administrative Assistant, you must possess superior problem solving and organization skills to ensure all duties are completed in a timely fashion.
    What you will do
  • Be responsible for sorting, scanning, and distributing incoming and outgoing mail for the department
  • Support the investigative team with data entry and administrative processes
  • Ensure office supplies are properly stocked and order when appropriate
  • Create and distribute departmental reporting
  • Process invoices following internal accounts payable procedures, systems and guidelines
  • Provide support to Business Support and Operations roles in the following areas:
  • Business Continuity Plan
  • Security Access Requests (SAR)
  • Distribution lists
  • Spatial changes
  • Provide feedback on administrative processes to develop efficiencies
  • Take meeting minutes as required
  • Acts as a backup when required for other Administrative Assistants
  • Assist with developing and updating of Power Point presentations, Excel spreadsheets and other documents as needed
  • Ensure confidentiality of any/all information, particularly highly sensitive information, such as personal information
  • Prepare and manages expense reconciliation and submission
  • Maintain an excellent working relationship with peers and leaders
  • Build a trusting relationship with teams across departments
  • Work on special projects as assigned

What you will bring

  • 2 to 5 years of experience with administrative activities
  • Experience with riskbased decision making
  • Strong time management, organization, and multitasking skills
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Understanding of Group Operations (including legacy systems)/Business knowledge would be an asset.
  • Bilingual in English and French an asset
  • Reliability Status security clearance this is a personnel security status that is required before an employee can gain access to Protected B information, assets or work sites as outlined by the Government of Canada website
  • The base salary for this position is between
    $33,400*:
  • $45,100** annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).
