The Director of Data Analytics and Health Information Management is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst to join their team to support a broad range of data & analytics duties, The Analyst will be responsible for contributing to indicator definitions, data extraction, data analysis and creating and maintaining reports and data visualizations in Power Bi to support the information needs and strategic goals of the organization.
A key component of this role involves acting as a resource as it relates to capturing, analyzing, reporting, and understanding data and delivering insights.
Please Note:
This position offers a hybrid work environment consisting of in-office and remote work. Office location is 500 Church St in Penetanguishene, ON.
Key Accountabilities:
- Identify business intelligence requirements, interpret, and establish viable data modelling to complete analytical and visualization outputs.
- Develop visualization tools using Power BI that follow best practices in the selection and use of data visualizations to provide insights and support evidencebased decision making.
- Provide analysis, which may include descriptive statistics, forecasting and/or predictive models
- Create and maintain report documentation and user guides, ensuring requirements are current, updating manuals as required and ensuring system users are familiar with manuals and updates.
- Acting as a consultant, providing expert advice, coaching and feedback on the work of others as it relates to capturing, analyzing, reporting and understanding data and information organization.
- Work to improve data literacy across the organization. Focus on improving the ability to access data & to understand potential insights from data.
- Support, follow and contribute to information governance and data standards established by the organization.
- Identify and document opportunities for improvement of data quality. Work in collaboration with Data Analytics and clinical teams to determine root causes and business impacts.
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree is required in the field of epidemiology, health information systems, computer science, computer programming or a related field.
