Role and Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES :

The Warehousing Assistant will report to the Logistics Group Lead and assist the Warehouse and Stores team.

Primary Responsibilities:

Warehouse

• Deliveries to and from the hangars several times a day (9, 11, 1, 2:30) as required
• Mail run (12:30 building 160)
• Counting inventory assistance
• Assist in the performance of warehouse and stores activities
• Warehouse 5S (Sort, set in order, shine, standardize, sustain)
• Operate mobile handling equipment (pallet Jack, hand carts)
• Assist in summer cleaning

JOB QUALIFICATIONS :

Education and Experience

• Proof of registration in a post-secondary educational institution in the fall semester 2024.

Other Required Training or Skills

• Ability to work under pressure within tight deadlines
• Ability to manage several tasks at once and set priorities, willing and able to work in a constantly changing environment
• Ability to recognize opportunities and suggest ideas to Project manager and customers as needed.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suit (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) is required.
• Experience in JIRA will be considered an asset (Project management tool).

Candidate must successfully pass a security evaluation per the requirements of the Controlled Goods Directorate of Canada and to CAE being able to obtain all necessary re-transfer authorization in compliance with US ITAR regulations
