Construction Manager
THE ROLE:
Reporting to the Project Execution Director, the
Construction Manager is responsible for construction planning and contracting
strategy development while working closely with the Project Team to ensure safe and cost-efficient constructible designs
throughout the engineering and procurement phases of the Wheeler River Project. Throughout the construction phase, this _site-_
- based role_ is responsible for the safe and efficient organization of site activities against key performance indicators (KPIs) and
ensuring compliance with environmental and license permits, health and safety regulations, and adherence to approved budgets
and schedules.

commitment to safe work practices that contribute to a highly effective and engaged workplace. Additional qualifications and
attributes include:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or relevant technical field; or college diploma or skilled tradesperson with relevant
- Minimum of 10 years' construction management experience in industrial/mining industry, with 5 years in leadership.
- Proven ability to deliver large projects efficiently and safely with strong project management skills.
- Demonstrated familiarity with project lifecycle including engineering, procurement, construction, and
- Sound analytical thinking and problemsolving skills and a continuous improvementoriented mindset.
- Strong leadership, teamwork, collaboration, and negotiation skills to effectively achieve results through others.
- Proficiency in Office Suite is required, and SAP/ERP software is an asset.
- Excellent communication skills to communicate information and convey performance expectations effectively
- Demonstrated proficiency in managing daily tasks and longerterm activities against deadlines, safety requirements,
- and quality standards.
- Strong interpersonal skills to engage, influence and build solid working relationships with peers, coworkers, employees,
- Experience or familiarity with uranium mining and processing is an asset.
- Ability to perform computerbased duties within an office environment.
- Willingness and ability to travel to and work on site at the remote Wheeler River site with increasing frequency and
- Ability to wear and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required and assigned.
- Must possess a valid Driver's License to drive to site as required.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide sitebased construction planning and execution expertise to the Project Director for the development and
project completion.
- Complete broadly defined and technically complex assignments during the engineering phase of the project and
objectives.
- Prepare detailed plans for site works and the coordination of contractors and employees to safely execute activities,
records of approved variations from design drawings or specifications.
- Lead by example and with visible site presence commitment to the safe execution of all construction activities, ensuring
known, understood, and adhered to by both employees and contractors.
- Collaborate with and provide constructability support to the Project team to ensure Project development and delivery
- Develop and foster cooperative relationships with key vendors and service providers.
- Lead construction risk evaluations with the appropriate parties present for relevant and highquality output.
