Aveiro Sleep/Sleep Medix, a leading Sleep and Respiratory service provider, is dedicated to enhancing the well-being of individuals by offering comprehensive Home Sleep Apnea Testing (HSAT), CPAP therapy, and respiratory support services across Western Canada.
We are currently seeking a dynamic and skilled Sleep Clinician to join our team for a casual position in Edmonton, AB.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Home Sleep Apnea Testing (HSAT)_
- Review patient history, symptoms, and prescription for Home Sleep Apnea Testing.
- Set up and educate patients on sleep testing equipment.
- Conduct knowledgeable and clear instructions for equipment usage.
- Complete medical questionnaires, obtain patient consent, and ensure appropriate data storage.
- Review and report on HSAT data, liaising with other clinical and administrative staff to ensure timely reports to physician offices.
- CPAP Therapy (Fitting and Followup)_
- Set up and educate patients on CPAP therapy and treatment.
- Titrates CPAP pressure for optimal effectiveness and patient comfort.
- Present, fit, and complete mask sales.
- Download, analyze, and interpret CPAP data.
- Ensure proper cleaning and reprocessing of equipment.
- Charting, report writing, and followup with patient compliance.
- Assist with inventory management and equipment maintenance.
- Patient Education_
- Facilitate one on one and group education sessions and deliver informative lectures for patient education events.
- Inform and educate patients and family members on Obstructive Sleep Apnea, CPAP therapy, and other alternative therapies.
- Additional Responsibilities_
- Effectively communicate with supervisors, physicians, and coworkers.
- Manage stressful situations with composure and professionalism.
- Contribute to clinical and business improvement opportunities.
- Provide support at different clinic locations to assist with business initiatives.
Requirements:
- Strong focus on clinical excellence, patient care, and engagement.
- Enjoy working with people and display a warm and friendly disposition.
- Excellent computer and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to pass a Vulnerable Sector Check.
- Willingness to work independently.
Assets (Not Required):
- 3 years' experience in Sleep Diagnostics and CPAP therapy.
- Certified Respiratory Educator (CRE) designation.
- Previous Home Oxygen and Pulmonary Function Testing experience.
