About the Opportunity


We are looking for a talented, enthusiastic, and energetic full-time
Account Manager to join our team in
Kitchener, ON (hybrid). You will need to be prepared to travel to various locations and work varying hours as required.


Reporting to the Vice President of Media Productions, you will work with our team creative and production professionals, external vendors, and our clients on a variety of creative projects.

You will be responsible for creating long-term, trusting relationships with our clients, and you will be tasked with actively developing new business and additional revenue from those relationships.

You will also ensure that all of projects within your portfolio are delivered on time and on budget.

This means adhering to our quality standards and production processes, while ensuring overall client satisfaction, as well as diligently communicating with project teams - proactively identifying challenges and opportunities, so that solutions can be implemented collaboratively and effectively.

Your duties will also include, but are not limited to:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all assigned clients and escalating challenging requests or issues with the management team.
  • Work to establish and maintain trusted advisor relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Work with the respective Producer to develop quotes and negotiate new business opportunities that maximize profits, including billing for overages.
  • Work with Producers and Project Managers to create and maintain project plans, as well as monitoring budgets and profitability, tracking progress, and ensuring all project documentation is kept up to date.
  • Proliferate accounts annually by actively seeking and cultivating additional business development opportunities with existing clients.
  • Regular review of hard and soft costs for all assigned client projects, to understand and manage profitability.
  • Liaise with the Production Director and Project Managers to help inform resourcing, scheduling, and coordination across the company, as well as assessing and helping to manage scope change requests.
  • Ensure the timely and successful delivery of projects accordingly to client needs and goals.
  • Liaising with Media Production Department colleagues to help inform creative treatments and strategies, as well as reviewing content to ensure that messaging is on target with client expectations.
  • Keeping clients and vendors informed of project progress, deadlines, and needs, as well as guiding clients through our process and managing expectations allaround.
  • Identify new business development and client service opportunities for continuous improvement, and work with the management team to identify and grow further new business development opportunities, based on your clientspecific experience.
  • Regularly preparing and delivering reports on overall account status and related project(s).

About You


To qualify, you'll need
1-3+ years of successful account management, or equivalent, experience as part of a creative or media production agency or marketing department, and
2-3+ years of client facing experience.

You also possess
post-secondary education in a related field or equivalent experience.

The following skills and experience are also required:

  • Strong knowledge of Account Management and client service methods and tools, including planning, tracking, and budgeting.
  • Solid foundational knowledge of New Business Development and Project Management methods and tools, including project planning and financial management.
  • Thorough understanding and experience in executing both traditional and digital communications projects in a creative agency, production company, or internal marketing department.
  • Selfmotivated and detail oriented with the ability to work equally well independently and as part of a diverse creative team.
  • Excellent team coordination skills with the ability to keep project stakeholders organized and on track.
  • Strong personal organizational and time management skills.
